Tom Clark, Operating Partner, Thoma Bravo and former CFO, Idaptive
Idaptive, based in Santa Clara, California, is the leading provider of Next-Gen Access solutions for identity and access management. Idaptive delivers Next-Gen Access, protecting organizations from data breaches through a Zero Trust approach. Idaptive secures access to applications and endpoints by verifying every user, validating their devices, and intelligently limiting their access.
The business has been working with Nucleus to handle subsidiary company setup, compliance and employee onboarding in the United Kingdom and India. Tom Clark, CFO, has worked with Nucleus President Dr. Shan Nair since 2005 and relies on the company’s ability to handle international expansion issues with a high degree of expertise that, Mr. Clark states is “unsurpassed in terms of experience and practicality”. “Nucleus is our one-stop shop for all our international expansion needs and provides us with the most efficient and cost-effective way to expand internationally. Among other issues, they have helped us navigate the various options in terms of entity types that are applicable to our circumstances in each country and then helped us setup the chosen entities, thereafter providing full service day-to-day and local country compliance support”, added Mr. Clark.
“I don’t have to worry about anything when Nucleus is involved,” said Mr. Clark. “I have all the confidence in the world that Nucleus can provide us with all the help and guidance we need.”
Nucleus also provides what Mr. Clark refers to as an “India incubator service” to help Idaptive get going quickly in India even as the setup of the India subsidiary was progressing.
“Frankly, Nucleus has the legal expertise that rivals the most prestigious international law firms, but they are far more cost effective, business focused and nimble”, added Mr. Clark.

They provided us with invaluable support in a wide variety of areas which included entity determination/setup, banking, employment agreements, benefits, payroll, day-to-day support and ongoing accounting, tax and payroll compliance.”
“Working with Nucleus is great”, said Melissa Tu, Four-Q’s head of HR “They are very thorough, recapping every meeting and delivering results with very tight timelines. They understand the corporate world – and help us navigate what we should be offering our employees. In addition, Nucleus has been instrumental in where we set up shop. They provide insights and recommendations regarding the different tax liabilities for each area we will be working in and advise us on the kind of structures that will work best. They also help us assess the countries where we be having the best opportunity to recruit the talent we need going forward.”

Brad Wolfe, CFO FalconStor Software
“FalconStor Software, Inc. (OTCQB: FALC) provides the world’s only hardware-agnostic software platform for comprehensive data management. Founded in 2000, FalconStor is headquartered in Austin, Texas and has 18 additional offices in New York, Europe and Asia.
Brad Wolfe is FalconStor’s Chief Financial Officer and has been working with Nucleus for about nine months. Mr. Wolfe is a seasoned operational and financial executive with a successful track record working with both Fortune 200 and small cap companies. According to Mr. Wolfe, Nucleus’ one-stop services will save FalconStor over $1 million a year (they are now a $25 million company). In addition, Mr. Wolfe has found Nucleus to be highly responsive, helping with tax, legal, entity set up and several administrative duties. Nucleus has also been extremely resourceful by helping Mr. Wolfe find qualified people that write and speak the native languages in the countries it operates in. This was historically a challenge, but Nucleus has solved it.
“I’ve been lucky enough to find Dr. Shan Nair, who has worked in this industry for years,” said Mr. Wolfe. “Nucleus’ strategic help and insights across our APAC and EMEA regions have been invaluable,” Mr. Wolfe added. In fact, Mr. Wolfe interviewed 20 service providers before hiring Nucleus. Mr. Wolfe adds, “…they have exceeded my expectations. They have deep expertise, are very flexible and provide a strong cost benefit.”
“Nucleus is a one-stop resource for us and that has made a big difference”, says Mr. Wolfe. “If I did not have Nucleus, I’d have to build an entire infrastructure – instead, outsourcing was the perfect solution. I didn’t want to hire people and make promises to them that I couldn’t keep.”
